As country mourns Fallen 44, netizens wonder #NasaanAngPangulo

President Benigno Aquino III's absence from the arrival honors of slain Philippine National Police-Special Action Force men on Thursday kept social media abuzz through the evening, with the hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo becoming the top trending topic on social networking site Twitter worldwide.

 

Many were critical of the move, because Aquino instead chose to attend the opening of a car event in Laguna on Thursday morning.

 

A Palace official earlier downplayed the issue, saying it wasn't the sentiment of the majority.  "Sa amin pong monitoring ay hindi naman 'yan majority view," said Communication Secretary Herminio "Sonny" Coloma Jr. in a news briefing.
