LOOK: 80 hurt as train derails near Magallanes

At least 80 people were reported injured after a Philippine National Railways train was derailed in southern Metro Manila Wednesday afternoon.

The derailing occurred at the southbound lane in the Magallanes area, radio dzBB quoted PNR spokesman Paul de Quiros as saying.

Police Inspector Jonathan Aribe said 80 aboard the train suffered minor injuries.

A photo tweeted by GMA News' Chino Gaston showed the affected coach almost lying on its right side.

The photo also showed police trying to cordon off the area.
