Peso down on positive US consumer sentiment

The peso closed a bit lower Wednesday, as the dollar gained strength on positive consumer sentiment in the US.

 

The peso lost 2 centavos to 45.11:$1 from the previous close of 45.09.

 

“The Conference Board reported that US consumer data for the month of June at 101.4, significantly better than the previous month’s 94.6," MetisEtrade Inc. analyst Cherica Vicente said.

 

"The data reflects a more positive outlook by consumers on US economic conditions,” Vicente added. –Keith Richard Mariano/VS, GMA News
