(Updated 9:02 p.m.) Authorities have recovered the bodies of all miners who died following last Friday's tragedy at the Semirara coal mine in Caluya, Antique, Gov. Rhodora Cadiao said Tuesday.

Interviewed on GMA News TV's Quick Response Team, Cadiao said she was informed of this development by police and disaster relief workers last Monday.

"The victims are all accounted for," Cadiao said.

But in an earlier radio report, Caluya town Mayor Genevive Lim-Reyes was quoted as saying that two bodies were found on Tuesday, leaving only one miner missing.

The miners were identified as Noel Peñola and Ian Catulay.

Cadiao also explained how the landslide happened. Contrary to the initial report, the landslide was not caused by seawater.

"The landslide came from iyong hinukay nila sa baba, inaakyat nila iyon sa itaas tapos naimbak doon... ang loose soil na nailagay lang doon sa south side ng pit. Eh kung umulan ng dalawang linggo, siguro na-soak ito, bumigat kaya dumadausdos ito pababa sa ilalim ng pit na ito," she said.

Cadiao also clarified that she did not order the closure of the entire Semirara Coal but "only the operations of Painan pit where the incident happened."

She added that she has received reports that the pit is already below sea level, which can be a safety issue.

"Ang report sa amin almost two kilometers below seawater na raw ito. Hindi na nawawalan ng water doon sa baba at sina-suction na lang nila ito para magkaroon sila ng access para makapag-mine," she said.

In a separate report on GMA News TV's Balitanghali, Shiela Manego from the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of the Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) said the company will extend assistance to the families of the victims.

"'Yung mga SSS benefits and all that... Aside from that, 'yung humanitarian [assistance], 'yung ano ba 'yung mga pangangailangan -- tulong sa pagpapalibing, tirahan. If they choose to stay here, they can stay here, ipo-provide 'yung tirahan nila kasi nga kailangan 'yung tulong, 'yung suporta at this point," she said.

The SMPC said in a statement on Monday that it will give P1 million each to the families of the nine worker
