Former world welterweight champion Andre Berto truly believes he has what it takes to give Floyd Mayweather his first defeat despite being pegged as a huge underdog by boxing experts.

Berto lost three of his last six fights but was nevertheless handpicked by Mayweather as his opponent in his final ring appearance on September 12 (September 13, PHL time) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"I've gone through so many injuries, trials and tribulations over the past few years but now I know it was all for a reason," said Berto (30-3, 23KOs).

Like Mayweather's rival Manny Pacquiao, Berto also suffered a shoulder injury during a fight when he lost to Jesus Soto Karass a couple of years ago. Now fully recovered, Berto feels his fight with Mayweather can't come at a better time.

"This fight is coming at the perfect time," says Berto.

"I'm healthier than I have been in years and everyone is going to see that on September 12. I'm coming to shock the world." - RAF, GMA News
