A few months ago, Yaya Dub captured the hearts of Philippine audiences for her Dubsmash and comedic skills in Eat Bulaga's Kalyeserye.

 

But as the weeks passed by, the fans who admired Yaya Dub came to know and fall in love with the woman behind the character: Maine Mendoza.

 

According to Google Trends in August 2015, the search term "Yaya Dub" captured the interest of netizens.

 

 

 

But as time went by, the term "Maine Mendoza" has become more popular, proving that people want to know more about the woman and not just the character.

 

Maine herself has found sudden fame, starring in several commercials along with Alden Richards and other Kalyeserye characters, as well as solo ads of her own.
