AlDub hashtag 2015's 3rd top trending topic for TV worldwide

An AlDub hashtag topped tweets for the American Music Awards and the popular The Walking Dead series in Twitter's list of top trending topics for TV this year.

#ALDubEBTamangPanahon, for noontime show Eat Bulaga's "Tamang Panahon" concert in October, was the third most trending topic for TV this year.

#KCA for Nickelodean's Kids' Choice Awards topped the list followed by #TeenChoice for the Teen Choice Awards.

Hashtags #??, #AMAs and #TheWalking placed fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.

The AlDub hashtag got 39.5 million tweets in a 24-hour period, from October 24 to October 25.

Tweets using the AlDub hashtag peaked between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. with 47,235 tweets per minute or a total of 2,834,100 for the whole hour.

Eat Bulaga fans filled the 50,000-seater Philippine Arena in Bulacan to watch the Tamang Panahon concert, where people witnessed the first hug and first dance of the Kalyeserye love team AlDub -- Alden Richards and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza). —ALG, GMA News
