VP candidate Robredo overtakes Marcos in partial, unofficial count
Liberal Party vice-presidential candidate and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo overtook opponent Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, according to partial and unofficial election results as of 8:30 a.m., Tuesday.
According to the count, Robredo had 13,212,058 votes, while Marcos had 13,096,831.
Robredo explained in a Twitter post that her gains came from votes in the Bicol Region, Iloilo, and the ARMM.
Umaarangkada na tayo!! Pumapasok na mga boto mula sa bailiwicks natin - Bicol, Iloilo, ARMM.

Kaunting dasal pa, maipapanalo na natin ito.
Marcos spokesman Jonathan de la Cruz, reacting to the sudden change of fortunes, said that their campaign wanted the unofficial count stopped.
"Nagtataka kami kung saan nanggagaling ang mga boto na ito, at ano ang basehan ng mga boto," de la Cruz explained.
This year's vice presidential race is as closely watched as the presidential derby as Marcos, the son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, attempts to inch his way closer to Malacañang.
However, Robredo, the widow of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, made major gains late in the campaign and caught up with Marcos' poll numbers. — DVM, GMA News
