The Beast came off the bench and also hauled 13 rebounds to lead the Aces, while Rob Dozier and RJ Jazul paced the starters with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Dondon Hontiveros tallied 12 markers, while Cyrus Baguio added 11.

"It was another proud game for me and our guys," said Alaska head coach Alex Compton. "Makes me proud of my guys the way we played defense. I dunno when's the last time they scored below 80."

Rain or Shine's 78-point output is its lowest since its 78-71 victory over the Star Hotshots on February 14 in the 2015 Commissioners Cup.

Down 57-56 heading into the final frame, the Aces outscored the Elasto Painters 30-21 in the final 12 minutes to take the victory.

Only two players scored in double figures for Rain or Shine, with Jeff Chan hitting 17 points off a 7 of 11 shooting clip.

Paul Lee, meanwhile, came off the bench for 16 more points.

Import Pierre Henderson-Niles was limited to just six points after going 3 of 9 from the field, while Jericho Cruz scored only eight. Renee Fopalan/APG, GMA News
