Why Rhian Ramos finally said yes to FHM after 7 years

Nauna nang sinabi ng Kapuso actress at “Sinungaling Mong Puso” star na si Rhian Ramos na nagdadalawang-isip siya sa pag-pose para sa cover ng isang men's magazine, kaya naman ikinagulat ng lahat nang bumida siya sa cover ng FHM para sa July issue nito.

Ayon kay Rhian, nagustuhan niya ang ginawang rebranding ng nasabing men's magazine kaya siya pumayag na maitampok sa cover nito.

“I felt like I don't want to be 'bathroom material.' I don't want to present myself that way. And then, FHM came up with a rebrand. They've actually been asking me for seven years now, When I turned 18, they already asked me. And I declined,” paliwanag niya sa panayam ng GMA News at iba pang miyembro ng press nitong Martes.

Masugid rin daw ang ginawang panliligaw ng FHM sa kaniya sa loob ng halos pitong taon.

Para sa aktres, ang bagong branding ng men's magazine ay para sa mga kalalakihan na nais niyang makilala nang personal.

Aniya, “It actually took a rebrand and malupit talaga silang manligaw. It was almost very hard to say no. Kung anong mabibigay nila, they will. But I had to stay true to myself.”

“Now, all their contents, you can learn a lot from. There's a lot of art, tech, movies. I feel like it caters to guys that I want to get to know and guys I would actually want to meet rather than a guy that I wouldn't introduce myself to. That's how I feel about it now,” dagdag pa ng Kapuso actress.

Bukod sa rebranding ng FHM, kabilang rin daw sa mga naging malaking bahagi ng kaniyang magazine cover ang “wedding in France, a train strike, running in London, a mysterious forrest, a bottle of wine, tons of fur, and 5 amazing people.”

Lingid sa kaalaman ng nakararami, naganap ang photoshoot ni Rhian sa France, dalawang araw bago ang kasal ng kaniyang kaibigan at Kapuso host-actress na si Solenn Heussaff.

Imbes na magdala ng sarili niyang glam team at photographer, humingi na lamang ng tulong ang aktres sa bride at iba pang bisita sa kasal.

Kuwento niya, “I told FHM, I have to attend a wedding, but if you want to make this work, my friend is in showbiz. There will be a photographer going. I can borrow her hair and make-up people. There will be stylists. But no one else can go since it's a private wedding.”

“A week later, everything was finalized. Game na lahat. Ipinaalam ko kay Solenn, first and foremost. Then, she connected me with her guest list so I can pick my team,” dagdag pa ni Rhian.

Kabilang sa naging bahagi ng team ng aktres para sa kaniyang magazine cover si Mark Nicdao bilang photographer, Bea Constantino bilang stylist, Robbie Pinera bilang make-up artist, John Valle bilang hair stylist, at si Solenn bilang location manager.

Ayon sa Kapuso actress, “I just said I wanted to look very luxe—lots of fur and laces. Like I'm going in the forest, but it has to look like I own the forest. Nasunod naman ang concept. It looked so nice and we did it with absolutely no lights. That's natural Europe skylight. It turned out better than what I wanted.” —JST, GMA News
