Pika-chomp! Aussie eatery develops Pokeburgers
With Pokemon Go gradually taking over the world, it's understandable that companies are trying to cash in on the trend, or at least pay homage to it—and an Australian pop-up burger place has come up with some particularly yummy-looking offerings.
Down N' Out in Sydney is offering Pokeburgers, and their innovations to make their food look more like the little monsters are strangely endearing. The Bulbasaur burger has a broccoli floret on its...head?, and the Pikachu burger has two corn chips for ears and is oozing with cheese.

According to UK site Metro, the burgers were developed by Down N'Out's creative director Ben Kagan—and the absence of Squirtle is due to the fact that they couldn't get the buns to turn blue. (Sorry, Squirtle fans, looks like you're stuck with the freakshake).
Kagan told Mashable Australia that he tried to match each burger's flavors and ingredients to each Pokemon's character.
"The Charmander is a little bit spicy, there’s kind of a volcanic cheese dripping off it," Kagan said. "The Bulbasaur is grassy and cleaner, but it tastes like a Big Mac actually—which is quite nice. The Pikachu is a bit sillier, with our ‘tiger fries’ through it."

According to Mashable, Down N' Out is offering the burgers until September 3. Each costs AUD$15 (about P532 or US$11.50).
It looks like Pokemon Go and food hybrids/modifications go hand in hand, and we can't wait to find out what creative culinary minds will come up with next to appeal to the Pokemon and Pokemon Go crowd. — BM, GMA News
