De Lima to critics fabricating evidence against her: Your day will come
Senator Leila de Lima on Tuesday told her critics supposedly fabricating evidence against her that their “day will come.”
In a privilege speech, De Lima extended her forgiveness to witnesses who were allegedly blackmailed and tortured to implicate her in the illegal drug operations at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
“Ang hindi ko mapapatawad ay ang mga nasa likod ng pag-iimbento ng ebidensya laban sa akin. May araw rin kayo,” De Lima said.
She said she received credible evidence that inmates and gang leaders were taken by the Special Action Force (SAF) deployed at the NBP for “overnight interrogation sessions in an effort to fabricate testimony."
"Prisoners are being selected and isolated just to be intimated into implicating me and to fit the President's narrative that I am a drug lord coddler, aside from being the most evil woman in the planet," she said.
The House of Representatives is currently holding an investigation on the alleged illegal drugs inside the NBP.
De Lima said she has not been monitoring the proceedings. —KG, GMA News
