Mocha says she's clueless on how to address Duterte cursing on TV

Even Mocha Uson, the newly-appointed board member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), has no idea on how to deal with President Rodrigo Duterte's knack for cursing on live television.

In a radio dzBB interview on Friday, Uson, a performer and celebrity blogger, was asked by a listener on how she, as MTRCB board member, can address Duterte’s frequent cursing in his speeches.

Uson replied: "Ay, hindi ko po alam. Matagal na po kasi 'yan. Matagal nang issue yan.”

Duterte has been known for cursing in his speeches even if they are aired live on television.

He had choice words for those who expressed concern over the thousands of extrajudicial killings blamed on his war on drugs.

Among those he had cursed in the past were outgoing US President Barack Obama and United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon.

He also had expletives for Pope Francis when he was still campaigning for the presidency.

Uson — accused by administration critics of being a pro-Duterte propagandist who spreads "fake news" — was appointed MTRCB board member on Thursday.

She also had a brief stint as ambassadress for the Metro Manila Film Festival. —Erwin Colcol/KBK, GMA News
