The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) again placed the Luzon grid under yellow alert Tuesday morning, citing "insufficient operating power."

"Luzon grid on yellow alert from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., 11 April 2017," it said in a post on Facebook.

The available capacity on record was 10,090 megawatts (MW) against peak demand of 9,328 MW.

The Luzon grid was placed under red alert Monday afternoon, the result of an earthquake swarm that hit Batangas province over the weekend.

It was then placed under yellow alert immediately after the red alert was lifted. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
