MANILA, Philippines- A unit of developer Megaworld Corp. has earmarked up to P100 million for the establishment of CityLink Coach Services Inc., a public transportation system for Megaworldâs business and residential projects in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. In a statement, First Oceanic Property Management Inc. announced that City Link has obtained a franchise from the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board last March 6 to operate ferry service from Eastwood in Quezon City to Newport in Taguig via C5, and vice versa. CityLink will provide the public initially with five class-A buses and will add five more within the year, providing bus routes that transport workers and residents to and from their destinations. The investment is seen to boost the growth of business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in Megaworldâs township projects. The bus operator has also tied up with transportation groups and set up a terminal for the benefit of employees and residents of McKinley Hill Cyberpark. Brand new buses are now plying the streets of McKinley Hillâs main artery, Upper McKinley Road, going to Paseo Center near Ayala Ave., enabling passengers to board the MRT or north and southbound buses with ease. - GMANews.TV
