French Navy ship 'Lorraine' in PH for port visit

The French Navy ship "Lorraine" arrived in Manila on Saturday for a 6-day port visit. 

The Air Defence FREMM (European Multi-purpose Frigate) also visited the Philippine Navy Headquarters as its commanding officer, Captain Xavier Bagot, met with Commo Roy Vincent Trinidad, Deputy Commander of the Philippine Fleet.

The two discussed possible future activities and collaborations and talked about previous naval exercises, according to a statement released by the Philippine Navy.

Commo. Trinidad assured Capt Bagot the cooperation of the Philippine Navy.

“The invitation will always be there for the French Navy. We will always welcome you. You should be part of every exercise that we have," said Trinidad. 

"Lorraine" will be in the Philippines from June 23 to 29, 2023. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
