Alden Richards, Derrick Monasterio, and TOP win in 8th PMPC Star Awards for Music

Three GMA Records artists were recognized in the 8th PMPC Star Awards for Music held last night, October 23 at Novotel, Cubao.
 
Alden Richards won big as he was named Male Pop Artist of the Year alongside Darren Espanto. His album Wish I May was proclaimed Pop Album of the Year and single "Wish I May" won Song of the Year.
 
Derrick Monasterio took home the Best New Male Recording Artist of the Year title for his self-titled debut album.

Kapuso boy band T.O.P. (Top One Project), meanwhile, won their first award as Duo/Group of the Year. 

 

PMPC Duo/Group Artist of the Year is @toponeproject. Congratulations, boys!??

Kapuso stars and programs also took home acclamations for the PMPC Star Awards for TV.
