EXCLUSIVE: Top One Project, out to prove their musical prowess via anniversary concert
The boys are set to headline their first major concert titled ‘T.O.P. in Concert’ on Friday, October 28, at the Music Museum. They will share the stage with special guests Aicelle Santos and Kim Domingo.
After a successful year in the scene, Miko Manguba, Adrian Pascual, Louie Pedroso, Joshua Jacobe, and Mico Cruz of Top One Project (T.O.P.) is more motivated to prove their musical prowess via their upcoming anniversary concert.
T.O.P. may no longer be just remembered as the homegrown all-male group from GMA’s boy band competition To The Top as the five gents of GMA Records have rightfully claimed the title ‘Group of the Year’ at the PMPC Star Awards for Music.
According to the group, their win came as a surprise as they still consider themselves newbies in the industry.
Miko said, “It was completely unexpected, considering na kahanay namin ang The Company who [were] our mentors during the show. This is truly a blessing na great timing for our anniversary celebration. Sobrang thankful kami kay God.”
“[We feel] overwhelmed. Hindi rin kasi biro-biro ‘yung award na ibinigay sa amin dahil isa siya sa mga major awards sa buong awards night,” Joshua added.
Now that a major recognition comes with their name, T.O.P. only promises to showcase their knack for music and more in their concert.
Adrian admitted, “Mas ganado at may pressure pa din po kasi kailangan po namin patunayan na kami talaga ang ‘Group of the Year.’”
“Even with pressure there though, confidence is [there] as well. It comes hand in hand. The more pressure there is, the more confidence we have. It means we’re on the right track,” Louie further explained.

Mico guaranteed, “In this concert, you’ll see a new version of T.O.P. Mas makikilala niyo kami, individually [rin] with our own spot numbers.”
