Ayesha Zara, the daughter of Yasmien Kurdi and her non-showbiz partner Rey Soldevilla, is celebrating her birthday today, November 22.
Yasmien took to social media and shared photos of Ayesha from a photoshoot to mark the special occasion.
The Sparkle star penned a lengthy yet heartfelt message for her child.
In the said post, the celebrity mom recalled what she felt when Ayesha was still a baby.
She wrote, “Happy Birthday Ayesha Zara! Parang kailan lang baby ka palang huhu… ngayon 11 years old ka na tapos Ate ka na…”
Yasmien then expressed her gratitude to her firstborn child.
She said, “I'm forever thankful and grateful that you're my daughter! Sobrang swerte ko kay Lord dahil binigyan niya ako ng napakabait, matalino at talented na anak…”
Following that, the actress shared how proud she is for having a responsible and kind daughter
“I-bida ko lang sa inyo na hindi na humihingi ng baon o pera ang anak ko sakin dahil siya mismo ang kumikita galing sa sarili niyang #crochet business. Kapag may mga gusto siya bilin para sa sarili niya, siya na din gumagastos, minsan nililibre niya pa ako…”
“I love you so much! Natutuwa ako na nakikita kitang lumalaki na mabait at responsable sa buhay,” she added.
The Kapuso actress ended her post with, “You'll forever be my number 1 [heart emoji]. My forever baby girl! Congratulations also dahil nagulat ako sa report card mo kahapon! Ang galing! Eagle Awardee ka na sa school! Naks! Kilig ako! ako! Mama loves you!”
Meanwhile, Yasmien is part of GMA's ongoing action suspense drama series The Missing Husband.
She recently announced that she and her family are waiting for the new addition to their family, their baby no. 2.
Take a look at their holiday photos in Japan in this gallery:
Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi spent the holiday season in Japan with her husband Rey Soldevilla and their daughter Ayesha. Here they are at the Fushimi Inari-taisha in Kyoto.
The family of three also went to Universal Studios Japan, where they pose in front of the famous Universal Globe.
It seems that Yasmien enjoyed touring Universal Studios Japan as much as her 10-year-old daughter Ayesha Zara.
Yasmien also tried Japan's popular matcha drink.
Ayesha, Yasmien, and Rey also posed in front of the popular Glico Running Man Sign in Osaka.
Yasmien, who voiced Rukia Kuchiki when Japanese series Bleach aired on GMA, visited the Kyoto International Manga Museum. "Kung aalukin ako na i-dub ulit 'yung 'Bleach' kung ibalik siya sa GMA, G na G ako. Proud to be the Filipino version of RukiaKuchiki."
Aside from matcha, Yasmien also tried some sushi in Rinku Town near the Kansai International Airport.
Happy New Year from the Soldevillas all the way from Japan!
