So, to help ease some of your anxieties or worries, below is a hospital bag checklist for you to refer to, to make sure that you've got everything you need with you at the hospital.

This checklist was shared by expert birthing coach Chiqui Brosas-Hahn during Philips Avent's webinar titled "#UpFortheChallenge Part 2: Conversations OnMotherhood in the New Normal."

So, go grab a bag and get ready to pack for one of the biggest days of your life.

Here are the things that you need to bring with you to the hospital when you're about to give birth in the new normal:

1. You and your husband's or partner's recent swab test
2. Your OB's admission slip
3. Your birth plan or wishes
4. Your smartphone/cellphone
5. Charger or battery pack
6. Health card/insurance
7. PhilHealth ID & proof of payment
8. SSS form
9. Folder of medical history (including latest ultrasound)
10. Wallet (cash/credit card)
11. Alcohol/sanitizer
12. Face masks and face shields for you and your partner
13. Food and water for your partner
14. Yours and your partner's luggage (Pack light and leave in the car.)
15. Baby bag (Leave in the car.)
16. Car seat attached to the car's rear seat facing backward
17. A sweater or jacket
18. Breast pump (This stimulate contractions & increases milk supply.)

Aside from packing the essentials above, here are also some additional tips from Ms. Chiqui Brosas-Hahn on how to prepare for childbirth.

1. Prepare the clothes and shoes you will wear going to the hospital on the big day.
2. Wear an adult diaper just in case your bag of waters (BOW) breaks.
3. Put a thick towel on your car seat to prevent it from getting wet from the breaking of your BOW.

If you've already got all these things listed inside your hospital bag, then you're now ready to go to the hospital anytime when the moment comes.

Good luck and have a safe delivery!
