The future of fashion is here! Congolese fashion designer Anifa Mvuemba gives a glimpse of what future runway shows would look like, with her avant-garde virtual fashion show using 3D models.

With mass or social gatherings prohibited and strict compliance of physical distancing rules implemented all over the world, one would wonder how people can experience fashion runway shows the same way again.

Well, Anifa, the designer and owner of fashion label Hanifa, had just proven that necessity is indeed the mother of invention, as she holds one of the most innovative fashion shows of this generation on her Instagram account.

Anifa debuted her Pink Label Congo collection through a virtual fashion using 3D models. In the video, Anifa's creations 'walked the runway' sans real-life models.

The details in the digital fashion show are incredible and impressive.

The shapes molded on the clothes are remarkable, it really seemed like actual people were wearing them.

Plus, the movements of the clothes as the invisible models walked the runway were mind-blowing.

However, it's not only the visual aspect that is commendable about Anifa's innovative show, but also the advocacy behind it.

According to Anifa, she wanted to raise awareness about the struggles that her fellow Congolese people are facing, more specifically the poor conditions of workers in Coltan mining sites in Congo.

Part of her caption reads, “My hope is that this collection inspires all women to stand tall in their power and like the Democratic Republic of Congo, to use their history, whether pretty or painful -- to redesign their future. My country, the land of Congo, is ripe with an abundance of natural resources -- the greatest of which are its people -- its women.”

So, for better appreciation - and a one-of-a-kind, mind-blowing experience - watch Hanifa's virtual fashion show yourself.
