Stay fit and surf-ready with Luis Hontiveros' balance board workout

With leisure travel still pretty much discouraged or avoided amid the pandemic, many badly crave going to the beach for a swim or to catch some waves, just like one of the newest and hottest Kapuso hunks, Luis Hontiveros.

The good news is there's a type of workout that can give you the similar thrill that you get when you're surfing.

In his recent guesting on Mars Pa More, Luis said he would usually go out of town to surf before the pandemic happened.

And now, during the quarantine period, he got into balance board training, which is the next best thing to surfing.

It will not only help you stay fit, but it'll also improve your core strength and balance, which are important in keeping and achieving a good surfing stance.

In the Push Mo Mars segment, Luis shared his balance board workout routine. Here's a breakdown of it:

1. Squat press and squat hold

2. Planks

3. Push-ups

Luis warned that this workout may be very challenging in the beginning, but it'll become easier and rewarding once you get the hang of it.
