Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes always makes sure to be efficient and productive amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, he launched his delivery app DingDong PH to help out displaced showbiz workers who served as the delivery app riders.

Now, for his well-being, the former Descendants of the Sun actor decided to invest in a bike trainer.

According to Dingdong his new "investment" has helped him maintain the balance of his physical, emotional, and mental health.

“It is April 9 and, coincidentally, I am entering my 9th week into this wholistic, transformative and challenging exercise of trying to stay physically, emotionally and mentally healthy.

"Buying a bike trainer is probably the best investment that I made when the lockdown started last year.

"It has become a morning ritual, where good friends and I would share workouts--and even ideas on how to survive this Pandemic. In fact, my decision to pursue DingDong PH happened in one of these sessions,” he said in a lengthy post on social media, alongside a picture of him captured while doing his morning routine.

Dingdong has been in the entertainment industry for 20 years now, and he said that the pandemic period is his most prolonged interval from work.

“But more than its physical benefits, I truly look forward to my morning routine because it is something that I did not have the privilege of doing for the past 20 years due to the nature of my work.

"I also used this time to have the opportunity to listen to audiobooks, watch masterclasses, and reflect on spiritual videos,” he continued.

The 40-year-old actor also added that his investment in a bike trainer already paid off as he has spent quality time for himself and his well-being.

In terms of physical health, he is near to achieving his target weight goal.

“However, I found myself gradually missing my morning sessions that my weight reached an all-time high of 210 lbs or 95 kgs. Because of this, there were days when I would feel kinda sluggish, down, and unmotivated.

“Last February, I decided to recommit myself to a lifestyle change with the help of some friends.

"And in 9 weeks, I have lost 21 pounds. I am still on my way though to achieving my goal in the coming months.

“It is definitely not easy, and it will definitely not get easier.

"But with the proper motivation-- my loved ones and my work who truly deserve my best self-- I know I will be able to reach my target,” he added.

In a conclusion, Dingdong said he became happier with the immeasurable effects of his decision to invest in himself.

“At the end of the day, this fitness journey is not only about looking good, but more importantly of feeling strong, sharp and of course…happy,” he said.
