On April 1, author J.K. Rowling surprised Potterheads around the world with the launch of Harry Potter at Home, a learning and entertainment hub for people of all ages.

The Harry Potter at Home hub is packed with special activity kits, craft videos, fun articles, engaging quizzes, puzzles, and many more.

Plus, the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the U.S.) was made available for free on Audible.

And as if those were not enough, J.K. Rowling has announced another wonderful surprise on her website on May 5.

She revealed that celebrities will be filming themselves while reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in a special initiative they call Harry Potter at Home Readings.

So, who's the first celebrity to do a narration? None other than the actor who portrayed the iconic character of Harry Potter: Daniel Radcliffe!

In the first Harry Potter at Home Readings video, Daniel read the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone called 'The Boy Who Lived”, which is 25 minutes and 31 seconds long.

An audio-only version will also be streamed for free on Spotify and Spotify Kids.

Other celebrities who will participate in this exciting project are David Beckham, Dakota Fanning, Stephen Fry, Claudia Kim, Noma Dumezweni, and Eddie Redmayne.

All 17 chapters of the book will be released between now and the middle of summer.

And J.K. Rowling teased that there will be more surprises and special appearances to come in the Harry Potter at Home Readings.

Surely, with all these thrilling surprises popping up at the Harry Potter at Home hub, children, parents, educators, and even those who are young-at-heart will have plenty of things to look forward to amid the continuing lockdown or quarantine.
