Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol has all eyes on her thanks to her national costume.

Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol is making sure all eyes are on her early on in the Miss World pageant as she attends the pageant's opening ceremonies wearing an eye-catching national costume.

In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Gwendolyne shared several photos of her wearing what she described as a national costume that represents the “Filipina's craft spirit of dignity, growth, and joy.” According to Gwendolyne, the costume was hand-embroidered with embellishments that were inspired by authentic Ilonggo textiles.

Gwendolyne also noted that the costume also pays homage to current Miss World pageant host country, India, by incorporating the country's traditional “Ikat” print using glass beads, sequins, and Swarovski crystals.
