Glaiza De Castro returned to Baler, Aurora, to spend another quarantine period with her family.
The Kapuso actress-singer stayed in the town during the first months of community quarantine, which started in March 2020.
She also got to spend the first few months of the quarantine with her Irish then-boyfriend David Rainey.
They got engaged last December, during her vacation in Ireland.
According to Glaiza, their moment together in Baler was like a blessing in disguise because she was able to get to know David more while enjoying the things they love like surfing in the coastal province.
Besides surfing, she simply enjoys the beautiful countryside landscape of Baler, admiring the stunning rice fields and mountains in the municipality.
So, choosing between the city life and the province life seems a no-brainer for the Kapuso actress.
"I've always considered myself a city girl but staying more in the province especially during the pandemic made me think back of our childhood memories when we'd sneak out from siesta and go to the “bukid” to hang out and look for snails.
"I realized there's no better feeling than to live close to nature and growing up, it was our playground... and it continues to be so kind and generous.
"Do I miss the city? I miss the people there but if you ask me where I prefer to live, the answer is obvious," Glaiza said, pointing out that she'd prefer to spend her life at Baler.
