Korean singer IU is releasing her latest studio album Lilac this March 25 just in time to welcome spring.
The 27-year-old singer has been teasing her upcoming album as well as her music videos for her title track "Lilac," "Coin," and "Flu."
IU's teaser for "Lilac" shows her carrying a suitcase and waiting for a train, as she looks at her ticket which has March 25 written on its departure. The music video transitions to IU breaking out in a dance with scenes of IU partying inside a train. Another scene shows a fierce IU in a fight scene, kicking her enemies to the curb.
"Coin" shows IU in suspenders and a necktie with an edgy expression as she inserts a coin into a jukebox machine. The music video cuts to a scene with IU playing a card game and winning piles of casino coins.
"Flu," shows a unique concept, featuring IU looking pale and weak as she lies in bed. She slowly rises from her sleep and dances.
Another single from the album titled "Celebrity," was already released on January 27, 2021, ahead of Lilac's release. The music video shows IU in various scenes, in different looks. The three-minute track sends the message to fans that they are the true “celebrity” in IU's life and she is still every bit of a regular girl despite her fame.
