KC Concepcion speaks up about getting body-shamed and loving her curves

By Cherry Sun

KC Concepcion flaunts her curves to celebrate body positivity especially during a time of a health crisis like the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

KC began her post, celebrating and embracing her voluptuous body.

She wrote, “Making my Portuguese curves shine everyday... in case someone has been living under a rock, curves are in, curves are NOW, curves are TIMELESS and having this ultra feminine shape?? I wouldn't have it any other way!”

While the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion epitomizes self-love and women empowerment, this was not always the case.

KC struggled with her own image but she now champions body positivity.

She revealed, “I used to get body-shamed when I went on my 3-year hiatus for not having that Asian, stick thin body (for an Asian like me), and many women like me get affected by this mentally, emotionally and physically.

“Going through a pandemic and realizing the big picture issues of the world, I realized life is to be celebrated, and enjoyed... Like, why would I choose to develop an eating disorder over losing all the extra weight healthily? Why choose to lock myself up comparing myself to everyone else, when I could be dressing up for these fire feminine hips and that booty (that some girls even pay to have by the way)? Celebrate LIFE. Tomorrow is not promised. .

“Serving you... a FILIPINA with LATINA CURVES. I'm here to celebrate all Filipinas who are like me.”

She ended her post encouraging her fellow women and women at heart to celebrate their bodies, too.

KC is currently at a holistic wellness resort in Lipa, Batangas where she chose to stay as the government reverted the Metro Manila and nearby towns and cities under modified enhanced community quarantine.
