Rhea Santos reveals struggles as working student in Canada

Former GMA News anchor Rhea Santos revealed that she just experienced the busiest and exhausting weeks since moving to Canada a year ago.

In her Instagram post, Rhea, who has been studying at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and working as an anchor in Omni News: Filipino Edition, reminded everyone to learn new things.

She wrote, “Was on IG break the past days' coz this week was one of the busiest and most exhausting weeks of my #life. It tested my patience, time management skills, physical, emotional and mental #strength.”

“But hey, it's #Friday and I manage to meet deadlines because #ican… and we can.

“When we are tested, we rise to the #challenge.

“Still tired and preoccupied but #grateful that I'm learning new things. It is with learning something new that we become empowered to do more and be better.

“We can do this. Time to celebrate the little accomplishments' coz it's FriYaY.”

After almost 20 years in Unang Hirit, Rhea shocked netizens when she announced that she was leaving the newscast to migrate to Canada with her family.

She's currently taking up Broadcast and Online Journalism at the British Columbia Institute of Technology to learn more about the production of shows.
