Netflix drops US lineup for 2021
More than 70 movies will be added by the streaming platform Netflix into its US lineup for this year.
The titles will cover a wide range of genres from comedy, drama, family, action, and more.
Included in the roster are the crime thriller Red Notice starring Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne Johnson, and the zombie heist flick Army of the Dead directed by Zack Snyder.
Comedy movies include Don't Look Up featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Tyler Perry, Meryl Streep, among others.

The streaming industry has become even more competitive especially during the pandemic as producers and studios look for other avenues to get their titles across.
According to Statista, Netflix had 195.15 million paid subscribers during the third quarter of 2020. Most of the subscribers are based in the US, accounting for over 73 million of the platform's total subscribers base worldwide.
Aside from Netflix, other streaming platforms available to viewers are HBO, Walt Disney Co, Comcast Corp, Apple Inc, AT&T Inc, and Walt Disney Co.
