Ruby Rodriguez teases Joey de Leon: Kilala mo pa ba ko?

Despite leaving the noon-time show Eat Bulaga, Ruby Rodriguez made sure to greet Dabarkads Joey de Leon a happy birthday and even teased the Henyo master.

In an Instagram post on October 14, the TV host-actress posted an old picture of Joey with a short but sweet birthday greeting.

“Mayor!!!! Happy Birthday @angpoetnyo hamishu... kilala mo pa ba ako labyu,” her captioned read.

Joey, meanwhile, responded immediately and asked how the actress is doing. He also teased her back.

“YBUR! How are you na? Marunong ka pa mag-Tagalog?” he said.

He added that they will see each other soon and that it will only take one flight for them to meet again.

Ruby, meanwhile, answered back saying that she can still speak Tagalog and that she's looking forward to seeing the comedian again.

Ruby has been a regular host of Eat Bulaga since 1991 together with Joey, Vic Sotto, and Tito Sotto among others. However, in 2021, Ruby left showbiz and the Philippines and flew to the US to attend to her son, AJ, who has a medical condition.

“'Yung sa rare autoimmune niya, kidneys niya kasi ang nadali. So, diyan sa Philippines na-biopsy na siya lahat, so he's being treated para hindi siya matransplant 'yun ang ina-avoid. So, dinala ko siya dito for medical purposes.”

Ruby is currently working in the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles, California. While there, she met a few other actors who are currently living in the US such as Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez and actress Krista Ranillo, among others.
