Miss Tourism World PH Justine Felizarta takes part in tree-planting in Vietnam

By Ron Lim

It's only a matter of days before Philippines bet, Justine Felizarta, gets on the stage to compete for the Miss Tourism World crown in Vietnam, but she's making sure to engage in all the activities before she does.

In one of her more recent posts on her Instagram account, Justine put up several photos and a short clip of her with other Miss Tourism World delegates at a tree-planting ceremony in Vietnam.

In the caption to the post, she shared that getting to plant a tree was her chance to help with environmental conservation as well as an opportunity for her to observe and appreciate nature and the traditional cultures in the area.

The tree-planting activity comes after Justine revealed her national costume on her Instagram account a week ago. Named Sari, the costume is meant to stand for the “growth of the empowered woman” and exemplify the “strong and regal attributes of an Exceptionally Empowered Filipina.”

Justine also went to see some of the sights of Vietnam last week while dressed in traditional Vietnamese clothes. Justine visited the Trang An Landscape complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Aside from Justine, the other Filipina beauty queen set to compete in an international pageant this month is Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold, who is set to compete in the Miss International pageant in Japan this December 13.

Hannah has already gotten two send-offs last month: one from the Binibining Pilipinas Organization and the other from the Department of Science and Technology.
