Miss Tourism World PH Justine Felizarta reveals national costume

By Ron Lim

There are less than two weeks left before Miss Tourism World Philippines Justine Felizarta competes for the Miss Tourism World pageant crown and she is making a splash early on with her national costume reveal.

On its Instagram account, the ALV Pageant Circle posted a photo of Justine's green and gold outfit. In the caption, it is explained that the costume is named Sari after one of the characters in the legend of Mount Apo, while the green color is inspired by the mountain and colorful culture of the Moro and indigenous people of the Philippines and is meant to stand for the “growth of the empowered woman.” Meanwhile, the bulawan or the gold accents are meant to represent the woman being the gem of the tribe. The whole costume is meant to exemplify the “strong and regal attributes of an Exceptionally Empowered Filipina.”

Justine flew to Vietnam just a few days ago, with the ALV Pageant Circle Instagram account posting photos of her at the airport and wishing her luck.

Justine is just one beauty queen set to compete in an international pageant next month. Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold is set to compete for the Miss International crown on December 13 and has already received two send-offs. The Department of Science and Technology arranged one for her, and the Binibining Pilipinas organization also arranged one as well.

Herlene Budol would have also competed in an international beauty pageant this month, but had to withdraw due to “uncertainties by organizers.”

The Binibining Pilipinas organization had previously called on pageant fans and followers to support Herlene's Miss Planet International bid with a supportive Instagram post.
