It was a heartbreaking moment for Andrew Schimmer when he officially confirmed this Tuesday (December 20) afternoon that his wife, Jorhomy Reiena Rovero (or Jho), passed away.
In an emotional Facebook video, Andrew shared what happened to his wife.
He was in the middle of the shoot for Family Feud when he got a call from St. Luke's Hospital about the condition of Jho.
“Inabutan natin siya actually nire-revived nung ating mga doctors and nurses. They did everything they could, masakit lang,” he said. “Gusto ko lang ibalita sa inyo. Guys maraming, maraming, maraming salamat sa mga nagdasal. Ang sakit lang kasi, birthday ng bunso namin mamaya. Hindi siya naabutan ng bunso namin.”
Andrew's post received a deluge of condolences from netizens, who offered their support and prayers during this difficult moment in his life.
Florian Garcia Lee posted, “Stay strong for your kids. No more pain Jo rest in peace. Sorry for your loss yakap ng mahigpit.”
Meanwhile, Sherlin Toriano Relatos said, “She fought the good fight. May her soul rest in peace. My condolences to the bereaved family.”

Back on October 10, Andrew announced that they will finally bring home Jho after almost a year in the hospital. Unfortunately, a week after leaving St. Luke's Medical Center, they had to rush her back to seek medical treatment again.
In another Facebook video in November 2021, Andrew said that despite the setback, he firmly believes that his wife will fully recover. He said then, “I will push through. We will push through, promise ko sa inyo yan. I will not stop. I will never stop.”
“Hanggang sa makita niya noh, na okay na okay na siya. Hanggang sa makita n'yo na siya mismo 'yung nag-update sa inyo, hindi na ako. I will never stop!”
According to GMA News Online, Jho had to stay in the hospital for several months after suffering from a severe asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest and lack of oxygen in the brain.
