Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi mixes things up at Miss Universe.
Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi was certainly giving the judges versatility as she attended the pageant's personality interview competition in an outfit she hasn't usually been seen in.
In a post from the Miss Universe Philippines Instagram account, Celeste looked polished and professional in a Chynna Mamawal suit and slicked-back hair as she took part in the Miss Universe personality interview competition. In the caption to the post, the organization said that “authentic” would be one of the words that would “never fail to describe” Celeste.
The outfit is a departure from the ones that Celeste has been wearing as the Miss Universe pageant gears up for its coronation night on January 15, Philippine time. At a Miss Universe dinner gala yesterday, she had on a sleek golden dress made by designer Michael Leyva, which the Miss Universe Philippines organization had captioned as Celeste “going for GOLD” when they posted it on their Instagram account.
While registering for the pageant, Celeste had on a sparkly purple dress, along with the sash identifying her as the Philippine representative. Even upon arrival in New Orleans, she had on another sparkly ensemble as well as an all-black ensemble.
Aside from the title of Miss Universe, Celeste is also competing for the “Force for Good” crown, which features 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds and is reportedly worth $6 million, according to the pageant's new owner Anne Jakrajutatip.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization has already called on Filipinos weeks before to help Celeste “carve her path” to the crown by voting on the Miss Universe app.
