Mel Sarmiento says he is Kris Aquino's 'future husband'
Mel Sarmiento, the former Interior and Local Government secretary, has finally quashed everyone's doubts about his relationship with actress Kris Aquino and proudly confirmed that what they have is for keeps.
When a netizen commented that their romance would just fizzle out, Mel was quick to stand for the both of them.
“I said in Bimb's interview, I will spend the rest of my life with her, kaya yung pag hi hiwalay is not going to happen,” he said.
Kris posted a video montage of a wedding in Tagaytay that she and Mel attended last Sunday and she was no less a sight to behold in her soft blue gown.
What made the story even more delightful to the netizens was the part where Kris shared about her fast food date with her fiancé.
“It was more than 3 hrs to get back kaya nag stop sa fast food and it's been YEARS since i've entered that particular brand and after the pandemic naaliw sa kin everyone with me especially Mel, because i said ang sarap maging normal, regular person,” she said.
She also relayed her gratitude to the crew of the fast food chain for being so accommodating to the both of them. Furthermore, she recounted how memorable their dining experience was as technically it marked yet another first in their journey together.
“Sinira ni @rbchanco because sabi nya wala raw nag da-dine in naka gown and nagpapa picture lahat ng crew. i said walang basagan ng trip… i just want to say thank you to the service crew at McDo Silang for having been so gracious & opening up an area for us. 1st time Mel & i ever ate out so you can say it was our 1st date - we won't forget you,” she added.
After some time off from social media, the Queen of All Media surprised the online world with the announcement of her engagement to the former Interior secretary.
Kris has also expressed her joy at this new chapter in her love life. To prove how in love she is with her soon-to-be husband, she was quoted to have said, "Ang tanga ko na kung pakawalan pa kita."
