After five years of construction, actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga and her husband, Lipa City Vice Mayor Mikee Morada, have finally moved into their dream home, a modern Mediterranean-style house that brings her Los Angeles-inspired vision to life. The timing couldn't be more perfect: the couple discovered they were pregnant shortly after moving in, ending years of trying to conceive.
The home, called "Casa Morada," was a true collaboration between Alex and Mikee's families. Mikee's parents gifted the lot to the couple while Alex's parents, Pinty and Bonoy Gonzaga, helped them build the house with Mommy Pinty serving as their contractor.
The couple began building their home in December 2020, just one month after their private wedding ceremony at the Gonzaga family residence in Taytay, Rizal. The two-storey house was built from scratch, from groundbreaking to completion, after demolishing an old structure. Alex described the building process as "pinaghirapan for half a decade."
In her two-part house tour vlog, Alex highlighted key features of their home as well as her detail non-negotiables, including arched walls and doors, curated furniture, and a light, airy atmosphere, elements that reflect a modern Mediterranean design throughout the residence.
