'More Than Words' star Coleen Perez doesn't have a shop-till-you-drop attitude.

Up and coming star Coleen Perez likes rewarding herself for all her hard work. Juggling her More Than Words taping, GMA Artist Center workshops and other projects is quite a task anyway.
However, she has one condition on the only time she can spoil herself. “If I get big projects, that’s the only time I reward myself kasi [that’s when I] feel [na] deserve ko [siya],” she told GMANetwork.com, after playing on Don’t Lose the Money.
This is one of the young actress’ ways of keeping herself driven to aim higher, and at the same time manage her expenses. For her, one paycheck doesn’t translate to an instant shopping spree.
“Kung walang project, kahit may ipon [ako], huwag na lang,” she added.
Considering how she’s only in the beginning stages of her showbiz career, she wants to be a long-term thinker. Thus, she wants to keep saving up to secure her future.
“I’m usually matipid kasi gusto ko talaga [na] I can save much from what I earn. I see to it na if gagastos ako, kailangan ko siya or deserve ko [talaga] siya,” she noted.
She only occasionally indulges in little luxuries because she has a money mantra she makes sure that she adheres to.
“Save more than I spend. Basta important sa ‘kin na savings first before [the things that I] want. Dapat malaki savings ko and I see to it na sa suweldo ko, I [keep] more than I [shell out],” she concluded.
