Ipinahayag ng sexy actress na si Ehra Madrigal na pinaka-challenging na project niya so far ang Kamandag ng GMA-7 na pinagbibidahan ni Richard Gutierrez. Bukod sa napakalaki ng naturang TV series na magsisimula na sa pag-ere next week, maraming first siyang ginawa rito kasama na ang unang pagkakataong ma-rape sa eksena. "First taping day ko pa lang, todo na. Actually hindi pa talaga dapat ‘yon ang taping day ko, gabi na ako na-inform kasi nag-start ‘yon sa mga bata muna... Batang Ehra, batang Richard, lahat bata muna ang kinukunan. Yung script, gabi lang din dinala. "So ang mga eksena ko, binubugbog, binobosohan ng parang stepfather ko. ‘Tapos first ever rape scene ko rin. Kaya first day of shooting, todo bugbugan na, todo bosohan na. Pero surprisingly, doon sa shower scene, naka-short ako ‘tapos naka-sleeveless," panimulang kuwento ni Ehra sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the presscon of Kamandag last November 12. Ayon pa kay Ehra, "Inaasahan ko nga na sobra akong kakabahan kasi parang first sa akin ‘yon, e. ‘Tapos siyempre, parang nandoon pa rin yung ina-assess mo yung sarili mo, kasi ibang character, e. Parang kinikilala mo pa lang kung paano ang atake. "Akala ko sobra akong kakabahan, pero noong nagba-blocking kami, parang hindi ako kinakabahan. Pero iniisip ko na, ‘Hala, ito na yung rape scene!' Parang ganoon. Pero okay naman siya and after nun, naging okay naman ang feeling ko at saka magaling ang mga kaeksena ko. Na parang kahit super intense ang first taping day ko, parang nadalian lang ako at saka ibang-ibang Ehra ang makikita nila rito," tuluy-tuloy na pahayag niya. Dito sa Kamandag, hindi ba siya makikitang sexy tulad ng ginawa niya before sa Lupin? "Sexy in terms of my outfit o kaya kapag nakikita nila akong binubugbog," sabi ni Ehra. "Pero I think, mas makikita nila yung acting ko talaga as in drama, as in iyakan. ‘Tapos, first time na hindi glamorosa, first time na mahirap yung character ko. Kaya maraming first akong ginawa talaga dito. "Maganda ‘yon na makikilala nila ako, na hindi mata-typecast sa isang role. Dito iba-iba, kasi eventually maggo-grow din yung character ko. Kung ano man ‘yon, surprise na lang. "Sobrang interesting nga, kasi expect lang nila ay puro pa-sexy lang ‘yan. And as much as possible, ang gusto sa akin ni Tita [Annabelle Rama, her manager], hindi lang yung ganoon. Ako, as an actress, mas gusto kong mag- mature, mag-grow. ‘Tsaka even before, sinabi ko sa manager ko, parang passionate talaga ako sa acting and doon sa craft, hindi lang bilang celebrity. "Mas concerned ako na binigyan ako ng malaking project, ang laki-laki kasi ng Kamandag. Ang huge ng character, staff, production... Kailangan kong ipakita not for them, but for myself na worth it ako, na I'm part of the show, na hindi lang, ‘Ah binigyan siya ng project, okay na ‘yan, parang puwede ka na diyan.' Pero hindi, you have to show to other people na kaya mo at saka, at least, sa sarili ko na nagma-mature ako, nag-i-improve ako." Ikinuwento rin ni Ehra ang karanasan niya noong una niyamg makita ang co-stars niyang sina Johnny Delgado at Eula Valdes. "'Nakakatuwa kasi noong una ko silang makita, na-starstruck ako, nahiya akong lumapit. Pero ngayon, I have the chance to work with them at excited talaga ako," sambit ng young actress. "Yung iba, I used to work with them. Pero wala pa kaming eksena, kasi sila sa animal kingdom. Pero siguro in the future ay makaka-eksena ko rin sila.
