Vanessa Matsunaga recovers from COVID-19

Model Vanessa Matsunaga, sister of actor model-turned-actor Daniel Matsunaga, shared with her Instagram followers the news about her health.

She began: "I have shared a lot of good times with you and it's only appropriate to also share the difficult ones. This trial has shaped us and made our trust in the Lord more vivid than ever.

“A few days after being sent home from the hospital, I received my PCR results and to our surprise, I tested positive.

“The moment was scary because everything seemed so unclear. Despite of our efforts to keep me in isolation after the hospital, our biggest worry was that somehow, we might have exposed the kids and the rest of our household to the virus."

As a mom to David and Isabella, Vanessa was so worried that her babies or any member of her family might get infected. Thankfully everyone's results turned out negative even for her husband Jun Sunga.

“Thankfully everyone tested negative so we sent them to a safer place to continue their isolation away from us.

“We are completely grateful for everything that our family is doing for the kids as well as all their efforts that made the situation bearable. Every time I felt I was going to start developing symptoms, I called my pastora, who prayed and made me feel better and renewed.”

Vanessa went on to explain how she triumphed the whole ordeal, and with the help of her faith, she came out stronger than ever.

“God revealed to me that He is my doctor, my medicine and my shield, that He was healing me and that no weapon formed against me and my family will ever prosper.”

At present time, Vanessa already had three negative results and is well on her way to recovery.

“Praise God! I'm sharing this to you today, to remind you that you are loved and cared for, even when we don't have answers to our questions and can't seem to understand why certain things happen in our lives.

“The promise of God that “no weapon formed against us shall prosper” is not exclusive, it's a promise that anyone can claim through Jesus Christ. Hope, faith and love have proven to be very handy especially in times of uncertainty.”

Several celebrities reacted to Vanessa's COVID-19 story and lauded her strength despite circumstances.
