Carmi Martin shares that she tested positive and recovered from the coronavirus.

On Instagram, the actress revealed that she learned about the status of her health after getting a swab test at the Philippine Red Cross on September 13.

“The following day, I got the result that I was positive of COVID-19,” she wrote.

“I felt bad because I have no symptoms except for my blood pressure [that] shot up and also for not able to do the project since I was so prepared and was excited to do it.”

Upon learning her results, Carmi immediately went into self-isolation that later became her “honeymoon with God.”

“I spent each day with prayers and praying for others, singing beautiful songs for our Lord, and listening to excellent preachings each day,” she explained.

“Having a positive attitude, exercising, and eating healthy food made me recover well.”

Carmi thanked all of her family members and friends from the industry who were there for her during her recovery.

She then ended her post by saying the whole ordeal strengthened her faith in the Lord.

“Panginoong Diyos, salamat sa pagkakataon na mas lalo akong manalig sa'yo at maging blessing sa ibang tao na may pinagdadaanan sa panahon ng COVID.

“My two-week quarantine was so precious because spending time with God will always be the best. Praise God for I am now COVID-free,” she declared.

Celebrity friends of Carmi, including Zsa Zsa Padilla, Arlene Muhlach, and Boobay, were quick to send their regards to the COVID-survivor.

Aside from Carmi, many Filipino celebrities and personalities have already recovered from the illness including Iza Calzado, Christopher de Leon, Jon Lucas, Michael V, and so much more.
