
Filipino-American stand-up comedian Jo Koy that the longest noontime running show Eat Bulaga is his childhood comedic inspiration.
In a video interview with the GMA News Online, Jo Koy shared he lived in the Philippines from age six to 11, when he discovered and idolized Eat Bulaga's trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
Following this revelation, Joey reacted to Jo Koy's sentiments.
He said, “I know why you like 'Eat Bulaga'...because of Tito, VICKS and Joey! God bless you tukayo!”

On May 15, Jo Koy proudly announced that he is bringing Netflix to the Philippines.
In his third Netflix special "In His Elements” that will be released on June 12, Jo Koy will introduce Filipino culture, comedy, food, and music, to the world.
This special is purely Filipino, and he is hoping that his Filipino mom will be proud of what he has done.
