Some women's pageant dreams are closer to becoming true as the Miss World Philippines organization has announced the venue for its final screening for this year's pageant.
In one of the more recent posts on its Instagram account, the Miss World Philippines organization announced that the final screening of this year's applicants for the 2024 pageant will be held at the Glass Ballroom of Okada Manila on May 27, 2024, starting at 2 p.m.
The ones chosen from the screening, as well as the regional winners from across the country and around the world, will make up the candidates for this year's Miss World Philippines pageant.
The Miss World Philippines organization had earlier extended its application deadline to April 22 from the initial April 12.
The Miss World Philippines organization first opened applications back in March, calling on women to “embrace” their “crown” and “make a positive impact on the world.”
This year's delegates will succeed reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol, who ended her Miss World pageant journey outside of the top 40. On her Instagram account, Gwendolyne shared her gratitude for the support sent her way after her Miss World performance.
“My eyes are swelling with tears trying to hold it all in so the world can see a brave woman who gave her all,” she wrote. “But like any human being, I think it is normal to admit that it is okay to be vulnerable, it is okay to be hurt, it is okay to be in shock and question myself and my capabilities.”
