Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol journey to the Miss World crown starts with her meeting her fellow delegates.
It's is less than a month until the new Miss World is crowned at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India and Philippine representative Gwendolyne Fourniol is making sure to start her journey on a friendly footing.
In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Gwendolyne shared several photos of her at The Ashok Hotel in Mumbai. In one of the photos, Gwendolyne is with fellow Miss World delegates Yoon theint theint nway of Myanmar, Audrey Vanessa from Indonesia, Priyanka Rani Joshi from Nepal, and Tomiris Kakimova from Kazakhstan.
In the caption to the post, Gwendolyne shared that she just had “an incredible dinner” with her Miss World “sisters”. She also thanked the Miss World organization for their “warm hospitality.”
Gwendolyne left for India a day ago (Philippine time) and arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport after a 13-hour journey. Upon arrival, Gwendolyne expressed her eagerness to meet the rest of the “incredible” Miss World “sisterhood”.
While Gwendolyne has only been in India for a little over a day now, her preparations for the Miss World pageant have been going on for several months now. Before leaving the country, Gwendolyne announced the debut of her Miss World introduction video on her Instagram account.
In the caption to the post, Gwendolyne called on her Instagram followers and Filipino pageant fans to visit her profile on the Miss World website, which not just features her introduction video but blog posts written by Gwendolyne herself.
Gwendolyne also announced the release of her official headshot on the Miss World website on her official Instagram account, writing in the captions that there was only a week left before she starts her Miss World pageant journey.
Gwendolyne has been Miss World Philippines since she was crowned in June 2022. She was set to compete in the Miss World pageant back in December 16, 2023 when it was first scheduled at the ICC Delhi India. However, the Miss World organization rescheduled the pageant due to elections that were happening in India at the time. The pageant finals is now set to be held on March 9, 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.
