Isko Moreno on Its Showtime

Yorme: “Dami nilang option ngayon. Kumbaga sa hotel, buffet!”

Former Manila City Mayor and new Eat Bulaga host Isko Moreno or Yorme warmly welcomes the announcement that It's Showtime will begin airing on GMA-7's sister channel GTV starting July 1.

GMANetwork.com got the chance to interview Mayor Isko at his Scott Media Office in Bonifacio Global City this Tuesday night, June 27, and asked him about his thoughts on this huge shakeup in noontime programming.

According to him, the viewers will stand to benefit from it since they will have options on what to watch from Monday to Saturday.

“I'm happy for our people, why?” he told GMANetwork.com. “Dami nilang option ngayon. Kumbaga sa hotel, buffet!”

Isko added that this “friendly competition” between the noontime shows will also bring out the best from everyone.

He explained, “Marami ng option ang tao and competition brings the best out of everybody. So, if everyone is doing their best so masaya ako para sa mga kababayan natin.”

“Kasi ang mapapanood nila is mga the best. It's a healthy competition and again and again in our own little way, Eat Bulaga [and] GMA Kapuso will do our best,' he added. “Malaking bagay din naman 'yung suporta ng GMA-7, napakalaking bagay.”

The actor-politician continued, “I wish everyone good luck. Uulitin ko there's no monopoly of noontime show, but at the end of the day, kapakinabangan ba ng tao kapag gumaganda ang mga television shows sa free TV?

“If the answer is affirmative, then, I'm happy and humbled to have that kind of opportunity to offer good entertainment in noontime.”

Watch Eat Bulaga from Monday to Saturday, 12:00 p.m. on GMA-7.
