Ruru Madrid and family

Ruru Madrid had a workout session with his parents, uncle, and girlfriend Bianca Umali.

Maintaining good health and fitness is very important for primetime action hero Ruru Madrid, which extends to his family.

With the help of his equally fit girlfriend and fellow Kapuso star Bianca Umali, Ruru convinced his parents and his uncle to join him in a workout session.

Ruru's dad Bong, his mother Jackie, and his uncle Bon, visited the gym with him and Bianca where they all exercised together.

The workout session was led by the actor's longtime fitness coach, Ghel Lerpido.

"Basta, sama-sama tayo! Tunay na walang imposible!" Ruru wrote on Instagram as he shared a video of their session.

He reiterated the value of health and fitness for all people, not just actors and health buffs.

"Sabi ng iba, ang buhay daw ay pasarapan, hindi patagalan. Pero para sa akin, dahil sa bilis ng paglipas ng panahon, gugustuhin mong namnamin at pahabain ang mga oras na kasama ang pamilya at mga mahal sa buhay. Isang malaking bahagi nito ang pangangalaga sa kalusugan," he said.

Ruru also considers the session a gift for his loved ones.

"Naging mahirap man ang pagkumbinsi, pero hindi kami napagod, dahil alam namin na ito ang isa sa pinakamagandang regalong maibibigay natin sa ating mga magulang," he continued.

They finished the session which made Ruru very proud. He also extended the invitation to his sisters.

"Proud kami sa inyo, Da @bhongmadrid , Ma, @madrid_jackie and Tito Bon @abundiomadrid ! Thank you, Mahal ko @bianxa and Coach @ghel_lerpido," he wrote.

"@raramadrid17 and @reremadrid game na!!!" Ruru added.

Ruru has been busy attending training sessions for Filipino martial arts in preparation for a few of his upcoming projects.

While there has yet to be an official announcement, Ruru is poised to reprise his role in the second season of 2022's most-watched TV show Lolong where he played a young man who can communicate with a giant crocodile.

Aside from Lolong, Ruru is also busy with the movie Green Bones where he will star alongside Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo.

Green Bones is the entry of GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs for the 50th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival in December 2024.

The film will be under the helm of award-winning director Zig Dulay and is written by National Artist for Films and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee, and 2023 MMFF Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza.
