
Even days before Mother's Day, Lotlot de Leon continues to honor and remember her mother, the late Superstar Nora Aunor.
On Instagram, fans were touched by the actress's heartfelt update as she and her family visited the grave of the beloved veteran star.
Joining Lotlot were her brother Kiko and Nora's grandchildren. Also spotted was singer-actor Jericho Rosales, who came along to pay his respects to the late icon.
In her post, Lotlot shared that Nora's grave had finally been cleaned and restored--thanks to everyone who helped out. Visiting almost daily, she shared her amazement at the unwavering love people still show to her mother.
"Araw-araw marami pa din bumibisita sa kanya. There are times I wait in the car when I visit her pag maraming tao.. and I see how they pay their respects to mom. Salamat sa pagmamahal nyo sa kanya," she wrote.
The actress further expressed her heartfelt gratitude, "Thank you sa inyo na dumadalaw at lage kayo may dalang bagong kandila at bulaklak para kay mommy. I'm sure she's smiling from up above and masaya siya..thank you for always praying for her too. Mula sa aking puso, Mahal ko kayo at maraming salamat."
Fans flooded social media with messages of love and support for the family, with many vowing to visit Nora's resting place and keep her memory alive.
Nora passed away on April 16 at the age of 71. According to her son Ian De Leon, she died of acute respiratory failure.
On April 22, Nora was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City. A state necrological service was also held in honor of the National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts.
Nora was also recently awarded with the Presidential Medal of Merit together with Filipina late icons Pilita Corrales, Gloria Romero, and Margarita Fores.
