Jennylyn Mercado and Gil Cuerva topbill the Philippine version of 'My Love From The Star'

Ultimate star Jennylyn Mercado will play the role of Steffi, originally portrayed by Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun, in the hit Koreanovela My Love From the Star. 

"Kami ni Direk [Bb. Joyce Bernal], laging may communication. Lagi niya akong nire-remind na mag-review, 'Kailangan mong panoorin.' Sa Sunday magkikita kami, mag-aaral na kami ng script. Iba-iba ang ways namin para talagang mapaganda itong show," shares Jen when asked about how she is preparing for the iconic role.

The Kapuso actress is set to be paired with model-turned-actor Gil Cuerva. Gil will be portraying Matteo, Kim Soo-hyun in the Korean version. 

"Siyempre naninibago po ako, this is very new to me. At the same time, [I'm] very grateful and very honored ako na ako 'yung pinili, na may tiwala po ang production, si Direk Joyce, si Jennylyn."

My Love from the Star follows the story of Matteo, an alien trapped on Earth. He will meet Steffi, a famous actress, in a chance encounter. Little do they know that their fate goes way back, 300 years ago to be exact. Will Matteo eventually realize that Steffi is the reincarnation of the girl he once fell in love with?
