Neri Miranda uses talent fee to buy PPEs for frontliners
Actress-turned-entrepreneur Neri Naig-Miranda wants to inspire her fellow social media influencers to do their part in this fight against the coronavirus pandemic by helping the frontliners, who are facing a shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
In her Instagram post, Neri has decided to donate the talent fee that she would get from the brands that she's working with to buy personal protective equipment for the frontliners.
She shared, "Ang talent fee na matatanggap namin sa mga brands na nagtitiwala sa amin ni Miggy ay maishe-share ko sa mga frontliners.
"Kagaya ng mga masks na eto para sa ating frontliners kasama na rin ang mga guards at taga kuha ng aming basura sa aming subdivision. Frontliners din po sila. Ibibigay po namin ang the rest sa frontliners sa ospital."
She also lamented that there has been delays in the deliveries of the PPEs she ordered.
"Hindi na rin makadeliver ang supplier dahil sa mahigpit na lockdown.
"Pati na rin ang PPEs na inorder ko, sobrang higpit na daw magpadala. Sana ay maka abot sa frontliners lahat.
"Kaya sobrang thankful po ako sa lahat ng patuloy na nagtitiwala sa amin para i-endorse ang kanila brands o products. Dahil po dyan, kahit walang trabaho at sarado lahat ng negosyo, may maishe-share ako sa mga empleyado namin."
Neri ended on a positive note saying that we should not worry, because this too shall pass.
"38 families po ang kailangan naming alagaan. Kagaya ng lagi kong sinasabi, alagaan nila kami sa pamamagitan ng pagtrabaho ng maayos, at aalagaan din namin sila at ang kanilang buong pamilya."
"Makakabawi din tayo! Naniniwala akong makakabawi tayong lahat lalo na kung masipag tayo at marunong tayong magshare."
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 2,084, according to the data released by the Department of Health yesterday, March 31. Meanwhile, 49 people have recovered and 88 people died.
