Therese Malvar completed her secondary education without getting to experience a graduation ceremony but the Kapuso actress is very much optimistic about what lies ahead for her and her fellow graduates.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the young Kapuso star gave credit to her classmates and teachers for her academic accomplishments. She has been attending a regular school despite her busy schedule in showbiz.

Therese said, “I wouldn't have achieved this if it weren't for my awesome classmates and teachers who helped me catch up on the topics that I have missed. I am not where I am if it weren't for them. The Lord guided me as I balanced both work and school.”

Despite graduating with flying colors, she admitted in a previous interview her mixed feelings about continuing her studies at a time when the new coronavirus continues to be a threat.

According to Therese, while she looks forward to studying a film course in college, she cannot help but also wonder at this experience in the “new normal.” Nonetheless, the actress offered reassuring words to her fellow students.

She said, “To my fellow graduates, all our efforts will soon be worth it. Be proud of even your simplest achievements. In these trying times, we must allow ourselves to be brave and trust that there will be a bright future waiting for us. God's plans are greater than all of ours.”

Therese Malvar is set to enroll in MINT college. She is also preparing for another TV series on GMA Network.
